The idea was simple. Build the business everyone wishes existed.

How Drop Roll Started

THE ORIGIN STORY IS PRETTY SIMPLE.

The founder of Drop Roll has spent years working in banking and technology — the kind of career where systems either work or they don't, and when they don't, someone fixes them.

A few years ago, a home project turned into a frustrating afternoon of phone calls. Three local dumpster companies. Three voicemails. One callback two days later with a price that didn't match what the website said.

It wasn't complicated. The service existed. The demand existed. What didn't exist was a company that treated the booking experience like it was 2025 instead of 1995.

So Drop Roll got built. Online booking. Flat-rate pricing. Transparent fees. A confirmation in your inbox in under a minute. And a truck that shows up when it says it will.

We're locally owned and operated out of the Rockwall/Forney area. We own the truck. We own the dumpsters. When you book with Drop Roll, you're dealing directly with the people doing the work — not a call center, not a broker, not a national chain that doesn't know your street.

The Color

Most dumpsters are grey. Or green. Or whatever color the manufacturer ships them in. Nobody thinks about the color.

We thought about the color. A lot. The dumpster sitting in a driveway isn't just a dumpster — it's a billboard. It's 7 days of visibility on a street where neighbors walk dogs, contractors drive by, and potential customers notice things.

Guards Red. Every unit. Same color, every time. Not close to red. Not reddish. The same exact red — a color with a very specific history that means something to the founder, and probably means something to you too if you know what to look for.

Guards Red isn't a random choice. It's a very specific shade — one that's been associated with a particular kind of excellence since the 1950s. It belongs to machines built to perform. Things engineered to be the best version of what they are.

A dumpster company probably seems like an odd place for that kind of color. But the founder disagrees. If you're going to do something, do it all the way. Build the best booking experience. Show up on time. Price it honestly. And paint every single unit the color that reminds you why you started.

There's a milestone in this business — a specific one — that the founder is working toward. When it happens, you'll see it on social media. The dumpsters will have gotten there first.

THE PRICE IS THE PRICE.

What's on the website is what's on the invoice. Delivery, rental period, and pickup — all included. No fuel surcharge added at checkout. No “environmental fee” on the backend. We don't do that.

WE SHOW UP WHEN WE SAY.

You picked a delivery date. We're there. You'll get a text when the truck is on the way. Not “sometime between 8 and 5.” An actual ETA. Reliability isn't a selling point to us — it's just the minimum.

LOCAL MEANS LOCAL.

We're not a national booking platform. We're not a broker. We own the truck. We own the dumpsters. We live and work in this same Rockwall/Forney corridor. When something goes sideways, you're calling a person who actually cares.
